Services: Holy Communion (Rosemary Lane)

Holy Communion, also called the Eucharist or Lord's Supper and other names, is a Christian sacrament by which those who celebrate it commemorate the Last Supper by consecrating bread and wine.

At Holy Trinity Formby we celebrate a traditional Holy Communion Service using Common Worship with seasonal variations at our 8.45am Sunday Services. (Approximately 1 hour)

Family Communion is celebrated on the 4th (and 5th) Sunday of the month at 10.30am. This is a service time of breaking bread together following Common Worship. The bread and wine are shared standing at the front and can be easily accessed by people with mobility problems. (Approximately 1 hour)

On Wednesdays Holy Communion takes place at 10.30am. Wednesday Holy Communion is a traditional service, with bible readings and a thought for the day. The service is followed by refreshments in the Jubilee Hall.

On the 1st Wednesday of the month Holy Communion is celebrated using the 1662 Book of Common Prayer (About 45minutes.)

On the 2nd ,3rd, 4th ,(5th) Wednesdays of the month Holy Communion is celebrated following Common Worship. (About 40 minutes).

The 3rd Wednesday of the month is the Mothers Union Corporate Service, when we are joined by M.U. members; the Mothers Union Banner is displayed and the Mother Union Prayer is said.
