House Groups

At Holy Trinity we believe that there can be much more to church than turning up on a Sunday. Rather than just waving goodbye till the next week, we have a network of small groups within the church that we call 'House groups'.

We each need a place where we can talk with others, share our different viewpoints, ask questions and genuinely support one another in all the circumstances of our lives. A place where we can have more than the casual ‘How are you?’ conversation we might manage on a Sunday. House groups are great way to develop your relationship with God and our Church Family.

There are a number of established house groups which meet on different days and at different places alongside the new day time group and the START group on Thursday evenings. If you would like to try a group, ring the Church Office and they will put you in touch with the group leader. Why not try several groups until you find the one you feel most ‘at home’ with?

Are you interested in joining a daytime house group? Are you interested in growing in faith? Are you seeking a deeper relationship with Jesus? Are you wanting to talk with other like-minded people about how to live the Christian life in today's world?

John & Val have started a new house group, which meets once a fortnight, on alternate Thursday mornings from 10am until noon with refreshments at about 11.30 so that those with pre-schoolchildren can pick them up if necessary.

The group is called ‘From Milk to Meat’ to emphasise that those who join it want to grow in faith and understanding, want to hear God and respond positively even when that means being prepared to risk.

The group meeting has space for worship, prayer, including ministry to our fellow group members when requested, sharing and study.
