Confirmation at Holy Trinity
Confirmation is the opportunity for people to 'own' the baptismal promises made on their behalf by their parents and godparents. It is traditionally the point at which the candidates receive, for the first time, the bread and wine of the Holy Communion.
It is the policy of the diocese that those wishing to be confirmed should be aged 11 years and over. Often we find that we have more adults than children.
Confirmation training is shared with St. Luke's Church, Formby . One church being responsible for preparing the young people, the other the adults.
The Confirmation service is usually held around Trinity Sunday. We alternate the hosting of the service with St. Luke's, Formby and then in the 3rd year we go to Liverpool Cathedral.
Confirmation will be on Sunday 16th May at 10.30am, in St. Luke’s Church, Formby. The Bishop of Warrington will be officiating and a number of our members will be confirmed - do uphold them in your prayers.
If you are interested in being Confirmed please contact the Church office on telephone 01704 878913 or email formby.htc.office@btconnect.com.
