In June we all celebrated with Janice and Kath as they were ordained to the priesthood, and as we did so I quietly counted back and realised that I had been at Redgate for 10 years.
I know that there will have been times when Kath and Janice never expected to be ordained, just as I know that when I started training for Reader Ministry 20 years ago, I never expected to have the responsibility for a Church ‘plant’.

But the God we worship is a ‘God of Surprises’, always stretching
