Welcome to Holy Trinity Church Formby
We
believe that at Holy Trinity Church we have something
to offer everyone, whatever your age. It is a place where you will
be assured of a warm welcome, with biblical teaching and a mixture
of informal and structured worship using Common Worship as our guide.
Holy Trinity Church is a body of Christians who meet throughout the week and especially on Sunday. On Sunday, we have services at the Church Building on Rosemary Lane at 8.45am, 10.30am and most Sunday evenings at 6.30pm and at Redgate School in the School Hall at 10.30am.
Farewell to Rev’d Kath Rogers!
Thank
you to all of you for the wonderful send off and gifts at our final
Sunday on 1st January. It was a very emotional time for Dave and me
as we say goodbye to a loving church which has nurtured us, prayed
for us, laughed and celebrated with us over 22 years.
Those of you unable to be at the evening service missed a treat! A huge thank you to the fabulous hospitality team led by the wonderful Ann Jones. Also thank you to the fabulous puppeteers, Caroline Collins, Andy White and Les Thurgeson, and of course Maggie and the music group who all were great as usual. We are so going to miss the superb team at HTF!
Special thanks to Pam for a very effusive leaving speech; I am sure I don’t deserve all these plaudits, and for your amazing generosity. We have received so many generous donations, vouchers and cash so we can buy a lovely new double oven I’ve set my heart on, and some other nice things as well! Not to mention bird food for the Rolls Royce of bird tables the Ministry Team gave us!
The leaving was spectacular, but the on-going faithfulness, support and prayer- especially in this last nine months has been even more amazing. Thank you so much! Our email address will be kathrogers.assfchurch@gmail.com, and our phone number will be 01519314676
Finally my bible reading the morning after the night before was so
appropriate for us all from Paul’s Letter to the Colossians
“As we received Christ as Lord, we should continue to live our lives
in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as we
were taught and over flowing with thankfulness” Amen to that.
Goodbye as parishioners, but not as friends.
God bless, Kath and Dave
