service that welcomes babies, toddlers, teenagers and of course adults,
then give the Celebration Service a try. At the end of each service
we enjoy a period of fellowship and usually a Donut or two!
A Celebration of the Celebration Service
I would like to write to let you know how much the Celebration Service,
on the first Sunday of every month at Rosemary Lane, means to me. I tend
to think a lot of the things that are good in my life, and also what is
not so good in my life and what I can do to change things and improve my life.
It’s nice having the children in church and they seem to enjoy being
involved in the service. When I was a child I did not like going to church,
you had to sit for a long time and not make any sound. You were not allowed
to speak, you had to listen, and I remember being very bored!
Certain passages from the bible are read out to the congregation and then
Janice and her team will act out a play to explain what the passage means to
us, and we can then understand what the passage from the bible is trying to
say to us as Christians.
It is sad that a lot more people, young, middle-aged and old, cannot bring
themselves along to one of these services because there is so much they could
learn and improve on: how they live their lives and what they can give to the
community to make Formby a better place to live in and to take pride in their
village and how it looks and care about the people who live here.
