March 2008

The Vicar chaired the P.C.C. Meeting held on the 3rd March.

A discussion took place on whether children should be allowed to take Communion before Confirmation. The P.C.C. decided against applying to move towards allowing this to happen this year, however it may be considered again at some future date.

"A Lively Faith
in Jesus
Christ"

Lesley White in her role as Protection for All Officer expressed her concern that in spite of repeated requests she still had people who had not submitted C.R.B.’s for inspection or applied for them. Action was agreed to solve this problem.

The P.C.C. apologised for the fact that the Church was so cold for the visit by the Huckers in February and is acting to solve the problem.

New Deanery Synod representatives will need to be elected at the A.P.C.M. on the 21st April. We are entitled to four representatives. Five new P.C.C. Members will also require election. Please consider putting yourself forward to fulfil one of these roles and to help in the running of our Church.

At the next Meeting on 7th April we hope to approve the Annual Report before the A.P.C.M. on the 21st April. The format is different this year to comply with the Charity Commissioner’s requirements.
