Diary - May 2008
Thursday 1st May
Trinity Ladies - our meeting coincides with Ascension Day, so we plan to serve coffe for the congregation after the service at 8pm.


Sunday, 4th May

The Archdeacon’s Visitation Service will be held at 6.30pm, on Sunday 4th May, in St. Luke’s Church, Great Crosby. All who serve on the P.C.C. or as Sidespersons are required to attend. There will be no service that evening in Rosemary Lane.

Saturday mornings @ 9.30am or Thursdays @7.30pm in the church lounge. Interested speak to Kath, Sylvia, Ruth, Andy.

The Parochial Church Council meet at 7.45pm in Church.

Thursday, 8th May
Mothers' Union - Two ‘Samaritans’ will be coming some distance to speak to us about their Organisation. We hope they will have a good audience.

Saturday, 10th May
Holy Trinity Fell Walking Club will be visiting Kettlewell on Saturday 10th May.

Sunday, 11th May
Pentecost Sunday - Churches Together in Formby
Two Cathedrals Walk of Witness @ 3pm from Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral and ending at 4.30pm at Liverpool Anglican Cathedral. This will be a great occasion. Put the date in your diary and let’s turn out in force!

Christian Aid Week 11-18th May.
Ecumenical Service on 11th at 6.30pm in United Reformed Church. Please pray for more collectors and that collectors will receive a good reception at the door.

Monday, 12th May
Holy Trinity Men’s Fellowship meet at 8.00pm in the Jubilee Hall, for a talk on The Southport Lifeboat. All men of the parish are welcome.

Tuesday 13th May
Mothers' Union - we are visiting Ormskirk Parish Church. We are being taken on a conducted tour of the church at 2.00pm


Wednesday, 14th May
Presto! from 2 until 4pm– New group for people who want to share time with others- knitting, board games, crafts and much more. Every other Wednesday afternoon at Ravenmeols Community Centre. Contact Janice or Kath or Church Office.

Thursday, 15th May
Trinity Ladies - Rod Jacques from St. Pter's will be entertaining us with his experiences of life behind bars as a Prison Officer.

Mothers' Union - Our annual ‘Wave of Prayer’ service.

Tuesday, 20th May
Soul Food Series 2008 ‘REACHING GOD THROUGH MUSIC’ …..with Jeremy Plummer. The next session in our series is on TUESDAY 20TH MAY at 7.30PM in HOLY TRINITY CHURCH. Jeremy leads Musical Retreats and Training Days in Church Music and has an interest in the way in which music changes people, particularly in the context of Christian worship. He has led a series of workshops in ‘Music and Worship’, ‘Music and Prayer’ and ‘Music and Healing’. ALL WELCOME


Wednesday, 21st May
The Sefton & Bootle Deaneries M.U. Festival is being hosted this year by Holy Trinity Church, at 7.30pm on Wednesday 21st May, when the speaker will be the Diocesan Mothers' Union President.

Thursday 22nd May
An invitation to celebrate Darrell Gardiners 80th Birthday and raise money for Imagine Mozambique. 10.30am - 12.00 noon. Contact Church Office for further details
